GEO targeting enables precise control over proxy IP location by country, region, city, or ISP/carrier. This is essential for accessing localized content, running region-specific campaigns, or verifying services across different markets.

GEO coverage by proxy type

Proxy type

GEO availability

Residential

Over 195 GEOs with country, region, city, and ISP-level targeting

Mobile

Over 195 GEOs with country, region, city, and carrier-level targeting

ISP

United States (excluding the State of Texas)

Datacenter

United States (excluding the State of Texas), United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan, Poland, Spain

General rule πŸ“Œ

The more specific the GEO targeting (e.g. city or ISP/carrier level), the smaller the available IP pool may be.
For broader access and higher availability, consider targeting by country or region instead.

Dashboard v2

To choose a specific GEO for your connection:

  1. Go to the Proxy tab β†’ Quick connect

  2. Select the desired Proxy type (Residential, Mobile, ISP, or Datacenter)

Country-level targeting

To connect only through a specific country, simply choose it in the Proxy location section.

Precise targeting (region, city, provider)

For more advanced targeting, enable the checkbox βœ”οΈ Use precise targeting.

Depending on the proxy type, additional options will appear:

  • Residential proxies: region, city, and ISP

  • Mobile proxies: region, city, and mobile carrier

  • ISP and Datacenter proxies: country-level targeting only

See the screen recording below for a step-by-step example for residential proxies.

Dashboard v1 (Login & password authorisation)

To choose a specific GEO for your connection using the Login & password method:

  1. Go to the Proxy tab β†’ Quick access

  2. Select the Login & password option

Country-level targeting

To connect only through a specific country, simply choose it in the Target location section.

Precise targeting (region, city, provider)

For more advanced targeting, use the additional GEO options displayed below.

Targeting options vary depending on the proxy type:

  • Residential proxies: region, city, and ISP

  • Mobile proxies: region, city, and mobile carrier

  • ISP and Datacenter proxies: country-level targeting only

See the screen recording below for a step-by-step example for residential proxies.

Dashboard v1 (Whitelisted IP authorisation)

To use Whitelisted IP authorization, the IP address must first be added to the whitelist. Use our IP checker to find and confirm your current IP.

If the IP address is dynamic, it is recommended to use Login & password authorization instead. Whitelisting IP allows proxy access only from the exact IP address that was added.

  1. Go to the Proxy tab β†’ Quick access

  2. Select the Whitelisted IPs filters option

  3. Create a new filter

Country-level targeting

To connect only through a specific country, select the country in the filter.

Precise targeting (region, city, provider)

To narrow down the location, add more GEO parameters such as region, city, or provider.
